Preparing for your Thai Yoga Massage or Customized Session
No previous yoga or massage experience needed. Thai Yoga Massage and all the modalities I practice are completely customized to your specific needs.
People of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, conditions, skills, thoughts, places, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, races and religions warmly welcomed.
Wear loose comfortable clothing, similar to what you'd wear for exercise. Workout pants and a t-shirt are a comfortable choice. Jewelry and glasses do need to be removed during the session.
If you prefer to fill out the New Client Health Questionnaire prior to your session, here's a copy of the form:
During your session:
The most important part of every session is the time we spend checking in with what's new in your life, discovering any areas of concern and clarifying your goals are for the massage. This discussion allows us to fully customize the work to meet you exactly where you are today.
Thai Yoga Massage - You'll relax on a soft mat on the floor and allow me to move and massage your body into yoga postures. Using the breath, meditation, stretching and myriad massage techniques; we'll gradually release tension and create a feeling of openness, relaxation and peace.
Reiki Energy Therapy - Enjoy relaxing on the table while we check for energy blockages. We'll use the hands-on transfer of energy to encourage flow of energy in your body and profound relaxation of your mind; resulting in a sense of lightness and joy.
If you're a new client needing to fill out the questionnaire after you arrive, please allow an extra 10 minutes.

Extend the Benefits of your Massage:
Drink plenty of water. Your body will naturally cleanse itself of the toxins we release during your session; drink more water than usual the first day or two after your massage.
Rest deeply. Allow time in your schedule to get a full night's sleep if possible. Much of your body's repair process occurs while sleeping.
Stretch. Tomorrow morning allow a few minutes to slowly stretch and connect with your breath before starting your day. I recommend all clients practice yoga regularly.
Commit to a Regular Massage Schedule. Depending on your goals and resources, you might come in weekly, or every other week, monthly or quarterly. The most important part of making substantial change in life is committing to a program. If you don't already have a regular, standing appointment with me; let's get one set up today!
